Turn on through Settings
First, you access the Display & Brightness section in the Settings. Navigate to the Appearance section, tap on the Dark section to turn on dark background mode for iOS 13.
You can also set it to turn on automatically at certain times of the day by touching the Automatic item, in the Options section, selecting the time you want.
Turn on through control center (Faster)
The fastest way to turn on Dark Mode on iOS 13 is from the Control Center. If you’re using an iPhone X / XS, iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, swipe the right edge of the notch to open the Control Center.
Touch the Dark Mode icon to turn it on. Note that if you have Settings in this mode to turn off this mode, it will follow that custom, whether you enable the feature in the Control Center or not.
