The unc0ver Jailbreak tool developed by hacker Pwn20wnd has updated a new version for unc0ver v3.0.0 before releasing on Friday morning. The latest Beta 28 version is available for testing.
In a shared Tweet a few minutes ago by Pwn20wnd, unc0ver v3.0.0 beta 28: added timstar v3ntex iOS 12 centric exploit. On the other hand, the tool only supports iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 with v3ntex exploit software at the time of writing this article. Other devices will be updated later:
Official change from Pwn20wnd's GitHub repository for beta 28:
February 15, 2019 - v3.0.0 ~ b28 was released for testing with the following changes:
- Added exploit v3ntex by @tihmstar with major improvements from @Jeasheashacks and @notcom, only for iPad Air 2 models and iPad Mini 4 running iOS 12.0 - 12.1.2 (currently)
From the comments of Pwn20wnd we know that Cydia and Cydia Substrate have not been added in this version for iOS 12. Sbingner recently showed that Cydia has worked on iOS 12 but there is still much work to do and it still hasn't ready for official release. The Pwn20wnd has asked the jailbreak user to be patient and should not change the files system with Filza because it may affect unc0ver usage when it is officially released.
At the time of this writing, the latest official public release of the unc0ver jailbreak tool is v2.2.6. Both versions can be downloaded from the GitHub repository of Pwn20wnd.
